“It takes a village to raise a farmers’ market . . .” And for the HFM that includes board members, vendors, volunteers, community organizations and a few employees.
HFM Board: The HFM has a 15 member volunteer board with a 3 year-term commitment. The board meets the third Wednesday of each month throughout the year. In addition to attending monthly meetings, board members participate in committees focused on marketing, long-term planning, staff, market site logistics and finances. You are welcome to attend a meeting to see for yourself how this part of your market functions. Please visit our volunteers page for details on how to become more involved.

Volunteers: Extensive involvement of neighborhood volunteers is a unique feature of the HFM. Each Saturday, with the assistance of a volunteer coordinator, a minimum of 15 people volunteer their time and energy to help set up and breakdown the market, greet shoppers, sell juice and answer questions. Volunteers are also needed to help with marketing, long-term planning and site logistics. Contact our Community Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@hollywoodfarmersmarket.org if you are interested in volunteering at the market or serving on a committee!
Vendors: Every year, more than 60 vendors participate in our market, bringing farm fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and seafood, baked goods, honey, plants, pasta and flowers to our community.
Employees: For the 2012 market season, the HFM has three staff members. Sarah Broderick continues as our Market Manager, Ari Rosner is our Community Volunteer Coordinator, and Nicole Jenkins is our Token Program Coordinator.
